According to an online briefing today by company President Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo is preparing to give the Switch platform a boost with a large injection of new titles in 2021 and beyond. The popular platform that was released in 2017 continues to surge in sales thank to the success of games like Animal Crossing:New Horizons and increased gameplay due to lockdowns caused by COVID-19.
Nintendo will face some new competition as Microsoft and Sony plan on releasing new generations of their Xbox and PlayStation platforms, however experts doubt that Switch sales will take much of a hit.
