According to a report by Incomm, a leader in the industry, the popularity of gift cards is on the rise.
According to a recent survey of holiday shoppers 94% intend to purchase two or more gift cards during the upcoming holiday season. 51% plan to buy 4 or more. 43% plan to by 2-3 cards. Even more encouraging is that 96% of people surveyed are interest in storing digital gift cards on their phone for self use.
Among younger shoppers and millenials (age 18-25) 88% are more interested in purchasing digital gift cards no than they were 2-3 years ago.
